These days, our consumption of food is mostly an unconscious act related to hunger, emotions and/or societal bonding. In thus, our relationship to food is far more reactive than proactive. We are more driven by cravings than healthy common sense. Is it any wonder that the acronym for the America diet is “S.A.D.” (Standard American Diet), and for the first time in American history it’s projected that children will have a shorter lifespan than their parents.

At UpLevel, our mission is to promote natural nutrient rich foods that help consumers compensate for the empty calories & toxic food additives they consume ever day without question; then provide unique educational opportunities, programs & powerful tools to help them UpLevel their daily diets and embrace the opportunity of vital health now and into the future.

In 2021, one of the leaders in the field of Functional Medicine introduced two established nutrition and wellness professionals; Soumya Roy and Adam Banning. Adam and Soumya both recognized the unconscious nature of eating in the US and abroad. They both knew the damning research on regularly consuming foods that contain empty calories and disease promoting ingredients like fillers, emulsifiers, preservatives and added sweeteners. Their mission became clear:

1. Create a line of super nutrient rich foods that can directly offset many of the negative effects of regularly consuming a “Convenience Diet.”

2. Provide consumers and healthcare practitioners with education and tools to bridge the gap between the craving based convenience diet and a new diet of conscious well informed choices.

3. Make identifying and consuming healthier, more conscious food choices easier to access and less expensive to buy.
